The Director of Food and Beverage (F&B) will be responsible for the comprehensive management of daily operations at The Social at Eilan, including the main restaurant and bar. This role also encompasses oversight of the seasonal pool bar, marketplace/café, and all banquet operations. The Director will lead a team of four direct reports and over 30 team members across multiple outlets, with an annual revenue target of $2.5 – $3 million range.

Reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager (AGM), the Director of F&B will ensure alignment with overall resort operations, guest satisfaction, and financial performance objectives. Additionally, the Executive Chef will maintain a dotted-line reporting relationship with the Director of F&B, promoting close collaboration on menu development, culinary standards, and operational excellence, while remaining accountable to the AGM for broader resort goals.

 What will I be doing?

  • Ensure that F&B staff adhere to quality service standards including upselling, menu knowledge, and sequence of service
  • Craft and develop food and beverage menus that are appealing and drive local traffic and revenues
  • Assist the Executive Chef in developing new dishes and overhauling menus to attract more clientele. Including liquor, wine, and cocktail menus
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to drive traffic and sales to all outlets
  • Work closely with suppliers and ensures that they supply quality goods at affordable prices. Manages the inventory and stock as needed.
  • Maintain budgeted food and liquor costs.
  • Create and maintain a budget that achieves department profit goals
  • Guest recovery and satisfaction handling complaints to a satisfactory resolution
  • Oversees the maintenance of equipment and organizing repairs when needed
  • Fostering an inclusive and positive atmosphere with high team moral and engagement
  • Handling staff issues, such as sick leave and attendance, and taking disciplinary action when necessary

 What are we looking for?

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Proven experience in F&B leadership roles (minimum 3 years)
  • Previous experience in menu development with emphasis on beverage development
  • Knowledgeable in wine varietals and pairings
  • Exceptional proven abilities in marketing and promoting to drive revenues
  • Strong Leadership acumen and front of house skills
  • Up to date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
  • Strong financial management skills to include cost controls and forecasting
  • Good understanding of useful computer programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
  • Credentials in health and safety training, to include Serve Safe and OSHA
  • Driver’s License Needed

 In addition, the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience are preferred:

  • Director of F&B experience at a hotel/ resort or multiple venues
  • Experience opening new outlets or restaurants
  • Familiar Agilysys POS
  • Familiar with Delphi software
