What Will I be Doing?

The Global Revenue Systems Specialist will provide a high level of customer service while responding to requests and incidents received by the Global Revenue Systems Team queue. Responsible for the completion of fundamental daily processes as well as assisting the department with compilation of key data, analysis of that data, and suggestions for enhancements and efficiencies that will drive additional revenue results

  • Supports all aspects of automated inventory, rates and reservations delivery between HGV Resorts and external business partners (OTAs, wholesalers, exchange companies, etc.) via external and internal interfaces. Includes property setups, testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution through diligent partnering with all Yield Management disciplines (Inventory Management, Revenue Management, Hotel Marketing & Distribution, Accounting, Owner Services and Hotel Reservations) as well as IT/Application Development and external partners including TravelClick, contracted OTA/wholesale partners, and other third party distribution channels and service providers.
  • Support mapping and rate plans for new resorts and distribution partners including unit types, rate plans, inventory segments, booking/source codes, and payment/billing codes through collaboration with Yield Management functional area leaders and team members.
  • Inputs the ongoing updates and revisions to unit type hierarchy and ghosting rules as applicable based on changing business needs, including thorough testing/QA to ensure proper functionality.
  • Reviews QA audits of automated reservation delivery on a weekly basis, to ensure proper delivery of accurate rates, guarantee codes, unit types, source codes and speed of delivery.  Identifies issues/concerns that may have broad-reaching impact and takes appropriate action to remedy.
  • Supports the Manager with all systems and/or technology initiatives, including user acceptance testing (UAT) of new technology projects, troubleshooting and reporting system errors, and collaboration with IT partners on implementation of new technology enhancements
  • Monitors the OTA developer dashboard on a continuous basis to ensure ARI functionality is working properly at all times.  Identifies issues/concerns before they become major problems and takes appropriate action to remedy.
  • Supports the relationship with TravelClick, Hilton, and other third party interface service providers.  Manages case logs to ensure problems are reported, thoroughly researched and resolved in a timely manner. Thoroughly tests/QA’s all closed tickets to ensure resolution was properly and comprehensively completed. 
  • Employs sound project management principles and skills at all times to effectively and efficiently plan and implement all automation interface projects. Proactively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of processes to maximize efficiency and minimize implementation lead times.
  • Proactively communicates timely updates to ensure team members are fully informed of all pertinent information regarding Revenue Systems failures/problems and related backup plans, as well as frequent status updates on in-progress projects.
  • Supports the Manager with execution of the identified plan of action for any new technology updates within the current environment to ensure the best use of all paid services.
  • Support compilation of comprehensive reports documenting all existing projects, as well as the projects’ history, including what was completed, who was involved, and what cost effective changes could be implemented in the future.
  • Revenue Systems will work directly with internal/external clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope while coordinating with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible
  • Completes all required Company trainings and compliance courses as assigned
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures. 
  • Support the creation and ongoing updates of departments system setup and maintenance desktop procedures to ensure perpetuity of department knowledge and to facilitate training
  • Support reservation interfaces for RCI and all resort locations not using VOICE PMS.
  • Perform and/or manage special projects or other ad hoc requests by department leadership as needed 

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience: 

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • 2 or more years of experience in the hospitality industry; i.e. Front Desk, Reservations, Club or Inventory Control areas. 
  • Must have a strong aptitude for data input and working within an operating system.
  • Demonstrated computer experience with a Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills – ability to coherently interact with various departments
  • Must be self-motivated, team-oriented, well organized and have the ability to multi-task
  • Must have a strong attention to detail
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: 
  • 2 year college (Associates) degree
  • 1 year of Timeshare experience
  • Experience with VOICE
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
