The Director of Food and Beverage leads all aspects of the F&B operation, including team leadership, financial performance and guest satisfaction.  This role also provides strategic oversight to the Recreation department to ensure cohesive, high quality guest experiences across both areas. This cross functional leadership role is designed to foster collaboration between the 2 areas and enhance the overall guest experience.

Schedule Details:

Our Food & Beverage department operates 7 days per week. The schedule is varying between 5:30am – 8pm, including weekends and holidays.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Coaching and counseling team members per company policies (F&B and Recreation department)
  • Ensuring all departmental activities are performed within the guidelines of appropriate policies and procedures and all food and beverage team members are trained in the area of food quality, sanitation, safety, departmental/resort policies and procedure and guest/owner service standards.
  • Responsible to achieve or exceed the gross and net income for retail outlets. 
  • Responsible to achieve or exceed the per occupied suite goal based on Inspired Hospitality scores for the department.
  • Support the GM/AGM with bi-monthly forecasts and year-end financial reports of revenues, control of payroll and preparation of the yearly budget.
  • Participates in all F&B operations on a daily basis to assist with work load and respond to guest/owner inquiries regarding F&B, retail and resort services and determines the resolution of problems arising from guest/owner concerns, inventory, supply issues, staffing issues and other unusual requests and inquiries. 
  • Assist the GM /AGM to complete any capital projects in a timely manner within budget and make recommendations for the following year’s requirements for retail.
  • Maintains effective communication and coordination of F&B activities with other departments to ensure all standards are met in the areas of productivity.  Ensure at the end of each shift that all F&B team members have completed daily checklists and shift closings are accurate.
  • Develops menus and food & beverage marketing strategies: implement new seasonal menus and marketing strategies to drive revenues.
  • Utilizes computer to analyze forecast, cost and revenue reports to make decisions based on that information to ensure profit maximization.
  • Comply with all health & QA standards.
  • Schedules team members in alignment with business levels.
  • Provide leadership and strategic guidance to the Assistant Director of Recreation.
  • Support the planning and execution of recreation programs and events.
  • Promote collaboration between F&B and Recreation.
  • Ensure recreation operations meet safety, service and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 – 5 years of food & beverage experience
  • 3 – 5 years of management experience in the hospitality industry
  • TB Clearance
  • Liquor Commission Blue Card, ServSafe and First Aid/CPR certifications within 30 days of hire
