The position requires the ability to work within established policies and procedures to accurately open, process close and/or cancel escrow transactions within company guidelines. The escrow closing process involves quality assurance of master files: assembling documents, reviewing and verifying contract documents for completeness and accuracy; creation, update, and final closing spreadsheets; transmission of contract documents to appropriate department once escrow has closed; correspondence with internal and external clients.

  • Verify documents for accuracy, i.e. notaries, signatures, inventory, variance pricing. Update customer and sales contract information in all applicable systems for various sales programs and products 
  • Distribute preliminary closing spreadsheet for review to all appropriate parties. Update/correct closing spreadsheet based on analysis and validation. 
  • Issuance of final closing spreadsheet and request release of funds to DRI. Close batch once Escrow Agent is in receipt of final closing spreadsheet. 
  • Review and/or correction of files on administrative hold and penders 
  • Forward financing documents to Portfolio department for loan setup with servicer and custodian 
  • Support various areas in Escrow – Scrubbing, closing, 2nd day business, funds processing, cancellations, and document imaging. 
  • Maintain accurate productivity and statistics. Ability to meet and exceed performance/production standards. Timely reporting to management 
  • Carry out any other duties and projects required by management. 
  • Adhere to all company and department guidelines. 
  • Flexible work schedule including weekends and holidays

To fulfill this role successfully, the individual should possess the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:

  • 2 years of Office experience; or a combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Finance, Escrow, and/mortgage loan background preferred.
